Good Morning,
The NOAA forecast for today is "E WINDS 10 KT BECOMING S LATE THIS MORNING. WAVES 1 FT. PATCHY DRIZZLE THROUGH MID MORNING. CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. WINDS AND WAVES HIGHER IN TSTMS." The way cool wind site shows light air out of the south at TESOD start time. So, the forecasts aren't great but many times we've had a fine breeze despite the forecasts. It would be a shame if you didn't make it out this evening, the very first of the 2003 TESOD season, and I welcome you.
Annapolis Performance Sailing (APS) is stepping up to the plate again! They're springing for the cost of this TESOD Email list. Opening in just a few days, I encourage you to visit the new APS facility on Severn Avenue. Tell them Bugly sent you--not that that will get you anything--and please say "thank you Kyle."
Kieran Shea and his Feed Your Crew company writes: "For the first Tuesday night we're doing and outdoor grill with sweet Italian sausage and peppers on a roll for $5. They're delicious." "
In days of yore they used to steer with a board mounted on the right side of the boat. Called the steer board which became starboard and came to mean the right side of the boat as you're facing forward; stuck even after the steer board was moved to the middle of the transom. Well, then, you didn't want to dock the boat with the starboard side to least you'd bugger the steer board so you stuck the left side against the dock and guess what? That side became port. Voila, port and starboard. Utter 'steer board' to Brian Wilson, our TESOD bartender of choice at Davis' and he'll promptly draw you the draft beer of your choice. Cool, but this is just for you, just for tonight, and don't tell anyone else.
I wouldn't miss TESOD this evening it if I were you. First start's at 6:00. Don't be late.
Ciao,
Alden Bugly
