Of the 347 entries a whopping 277 were correct. They were put into a weighted pool. The earlier a correct entry was submitted the greater its weight in the pool. The winner was then randomly selected from the pool and it was Cale from Chesapeake Beach, Maryland who submitted his entry, "The interior of a MACGREGOR 26", on 6 May. Cale won the Henri-Lloyd Shadow Smock .

Cale told me he figured out that the boat was a Mac 26 by googling the "water ballast" part of the "this sloop has water ballast" clue. He told me the Mac 26 reminded him of a cross-training shoe with a stubby mast:

"Every chance I get to go sailing, I take whether it's on a laser or a C&C 30. Most of the racing I do though is on FJ's, 420's, or V15's," Cale said.
